Huawei at Autonomous Networks Summit: Catalyzing L4 AN Scale-Up via High-Value Scenarios

Jun 18, 2025

[Copenhagen, Denmark, June 18, 2025] — During the Digital Transformation World (DTW) event hosted by the TM Forum, the Autonomous Networks Summit—cohost by TM Forum and China Mobile—was successfully held under the theme of “Accelerating the Evolution and Large-Scale Deployment of Autonomous Networks Level 4 (AN L4).” Global industry partners including Vodafone, Telefónica, Orange, and Huawei participated. Representing Huawei, Mr. Ken Lu, President of Huawei General Development Department, and Sam Wang, the General Manager of Huawei's ADN Solution, attended the conference and delivered keynote speech.

During the summit, TM Forum, China Mobile, Huawei, and other key industry partners jointly launched the Autonomous Networks White Paper 7.0, marking a significant step forward toward the commercial adoption of AN L4 globally. President of Huawei General Development Department, Mr. Ken Lu, was invited to join the launch ceremony. According to the white paper, technologies such as Agentic AI, digital twins, and multi-agent collaboration are now being integrated into networks at an accelerated pace—driving operations toward “human assists machine, end-to-end automation of NOC operations, and one-time site visits with self-service.”

Huawei is working with global partners to fast-track commercial implementation by focusing on high-value scenarios, nurturing the commercial value of L4, and contributing the outcomes to the broader industry ecosystem—represented by TM Forum—by actively contributing to key initiatives such as the Autonomous Networks White Paper, Catalyst Projects, and the Innovation Hub, further driving the development of the AN industry.

Huawei ADN Solution General Manager Sam Wang delivered a keynote titled “Paving the Way towards AN L4” at the summit. He stated:“2025 marks a pivotal year for AN L4 commercialization. The three core elements—high-value scenarios, target architecture, and Solution Packages—have laid out the way towardsL4. Huawei's ADN Level 4 solution is built on an advanced full-stack AI framework, upgraded intelligent network elements, and version 2.0 of our telecom foundation model. We’ve developed scenario-based Agents and role-based Copilots. Agents can execute the closed-loop of complex tasks based on expert-defined policies, while the Copilot supports efficient field operations and resolving complex issues at the NOC. The solution has already achieved large-scale deployment with China Mobile and several leading global operators, delivering significant results.

At the conclusion of the conference, China Mobile hosted the launch of its “China Mobile's Autonomous Networks Achievements” with partners. Mr. Ken Lu, President of Huawei General Development Department, joined the ceremony. Huawei and China Mobile have jointly created the End-to-End Autonomous Network Operation Center (Dark NOC) solution, focusing on high-value scenarios such as fault handling and customer complaint resolution. The solution has already been deployed in provinces including Guangdong and Zhejiang, delivering notable results. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to strengthen the collaboration with China Mobile and other leading global operators to advance innovation and commercial deployment in Autonomous Networks, signaling a new chapter in the industry’s evolution toward high-level AN L4 autonomy.
