Huawei and AIS Win Network AI Award at FutureNet Asia 2025

Sep 17, 2025

[Singapore, September 16, 2025] At FutureNet Asia 2025, held in Singapore, Huawei and AIS jointly win the Network AI – The most innovative AI solution to enhance network performance, recognizing their cutting-edge achievements in intelligent network operations and automation. This marks the third consecutive year the two companies have been honored at FutureNet Asia, following the APAC Operator Award in 2023 and the Customer Experience Award in 2024.

AIS, among the first group of operators worldwide to move forward with an AN L4 strategy, AIS has seized the opportunities brought by 5G to launch a dual transformation in digital experience and sustainable operations. In partnership with Huawei, AIS has developed a scenario-based approach to AI Agents, integrating four core innovations— closed-loop automation of business processes, natural language no-code development to lower application barriers, collaborative tool integration to enhance practicality, and autonomous closed loops to minimize manual intervention — establishing a solid foundation for intelligent networks. On this basis, the two companies jointly introduced three AI agent applications — RAN Energy-Saving Agent, Zero-Trouble Preventive Maintenance and Self-Optimization Agents — to address critical challenges in network operations and maintenance.

The deep integration of four core technological innovations with three AI Agents has resulted in two core solutions, both of which have already been deployed in Thailand.

AI for Sustainability - RAN Energy-Saving Agent significantly reduces energy consumption while ensuring network coverage, performance, and user experience. Actual results show that network energy consumption has been cut by at least 3% and energy save 30 million kWh/year

AI for Operations - Zero-Trouble Preventive Maintenance and Self-Optimization Agents use a dynamic risk alert system to detect anomalies in real time and predict potential risks, effectively preventing major network incidents. Since 2023, they have been deployed across 140,000 cell sites nationwide, avoiding more than 20,000 hours of service interruptions each month. During the floods in Phayao province, it enabled the rapid restoration of communications at 18 affected cell sites, demonstrating strong emergency response capabilities and social value.

Huawei will continue to focus on high-value scenarios, advance AN L4 key technologies, and develop leading ADN solutions to help global operators accelerate their journey toward high-level Autonomous Networks.
