Major changes are taking place in today’s telecom sector. The explosion in use of smartphones, tables and other mobile devices is pushing operators to heavily invest in bandwidth and capacity, but revenue doesn’t grow as quickly as operators would have liked, when many web-based services and applications being ‘free’ of charge. Competition is fierce than ever – from operators and from new internet players. On the other hand, consumers are raising expectations of quality and breadth of services particularly in the cases of mobile broadband.
